Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands rule revisions

Background

After 16 years without a change, the Lingle administration is pushing through major revisions to the state’s regulations governing conservation lands and coastal areas. The proposed changes, available to the public via the Office of Conservation and Coastal Lands (PDF), are expected to take effect before the end of the year.

The state held six public hearings throughout Hawaii earlier this month, and will receive testimony through September 7.
